I'm A Celebrity's John Barrowman admits he’s planning to 'wee off the side of his hammock' because he’s too lazy to use the toilet

The actor and singer, 51, says if he dreams he needs the loo, he will be desperate to go there and then.

And he may not even make it to the makeshift bathroom, joking he might urinate amongst his fellow contestants in the camp where they sleep.

In a clip recorded for the ITV show, he said: “I might pick my nose, I might fart while I’m in bed and I might also wet the bed. If I dream that I’ll have to pee, I’ll pee.”

He added: “I ain’t walking to the f**king dunny, I’ll just pee right off the side of the hammock.”

John is hoping to be the first “King or Queen of the Jungle” as he considers himself to be gender fluid.

However, if he wants to distract the television audience from his unusual night time toilet habit, the singer may struggle to win them over with his voice.

Series bosses have instructed him not to sing in the jungle as they don’t want to shell out thousands of pounds in royalties.

John says producers told him to resist showcasing his favourite show-tunes during his stint on the show.

He told the MailOnline: "I discussed this with them, because I like to sing and I may burst out into song – but then they’ll have to get the rights for the song and that’s expensive.

"Darling, the songs I sing won’t be cheap ones.”

The star revealed that while his addition to the jungle may come as a surprise, he knew in the summer that he'd be heading Down Under.

He said: "I went to a meeting with the executives at ITV at the beginning of the year, just after I’d finished panto, and we talked about it for 2018.

"I said I would think about it, so I discussed the idea with [my husband] Scott and I gave them my answer in May or June.

"I’ve known about this for a long time, but I haven’t told anybody.

"Anyone beyond my sister, Scott and my parents don’t know I’m going in.

"My friends don’t know I’m going in. I’ve kept it really, really quiet because I didn’t want anybody leaking it.

"Consequently, no one had any idea that I was the question mark that came up last week."

I'm A Celebrity kicks off tonight, 9pm, on ITV.
