I'm a Celebrity's Joel Dommett thinks Holly Willoughby is the "perfect pick" for co-host

We’re only a couple of months away from the very first series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! without Ant McPartlin, but we know someone pretty excited about that.

Yes, Extra Camp co-host Joel Dommett has been weighing in on Holly Willoughby’s new gig alongside Declan Donnelly, and has revealed he thinks she’s “perfect” for the job.

Speaking to this week’s OK! Magazine about I’m a Celebrity‘s brand new presenting duo, Joel said he’s expecting “a great atmosphere” on set.

“Holly is the perfect pick, it’ll make for a great atmosphere,” he said. “She’s such a wonderful ray of sunshine and I think she’s absolutely great.

“Holly has turned into the nation’s sweetheart and I’m really excited to spend some time with her,” he added.

The news that Holly would be presenting the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity alongside Dec was confirmed last month, with the This Morning presenter admitting the news was “bittersweet”.

Referencing her temporary takeover from Ant, who is currently on a leave of absence from ITV, Holly said: “The weird thing is, when I first found out, it [was] very exciting.

“It’s kind of bittersweet obviously, and then you’re working out the logistics of how you’re going to go and how long for…The kids are coming with me – and I was speaking to the school and how that’s all going to work.”

We’ll take their place if they can’t make it, Holly.
