I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans have been left picking up the phone "to Ofcom" after spotting what they believe is "race-fuelled" hatred towards campmate Naughty Boy.

The music producer has divided opinion at home, with some fans comparing him to Marmite, and clashing with other campmates in various feuds since entering Gwrych Castle.

Most recently, he furiously rowed with David Ginola over who would be picked for a Bushtucker Trial, after Naughty encouraged the football legend to go for it – and David snapped at him.

But now people are complaining to Ofcom about the treatment of Naughty, with one writing: "I rang Ofcom today to report the hideous racism that Naughty Boy is facing, both within the camp and on social media. I stand with Naughty Boy."

Someone else agreed: "The criticism Naughty Boy gets is classic micro-aggressive racism, he says nothing wrong yet people gaslight him into being the villain. Everyone wants to talk about mental health until their faves are being bullies. I hate what this show has become."

Another Twitter user went as far as to tag the broadcasting watchdog in their post, writing: "So it's okay for @antanddec to target and encourage hate onto @NaughtyBoyMusic? Bl**dy disgusting. @Ofcom."

"Can I just say how disgraceful it is how every episode everyone is picking on Naughty just because of his brown skin? […] The racism and discrimination is horrible to see," a fourth fan posted.

Another agreed: "It's worrying how much racism there is towards NB, like I can't imagine this much hate if he was white."

As another fan fumed: "Twisted people, why is there so much hate for Naughty Boy and not a word about the others who are equally if not more annoying and backstabbing?"

"So you want Britain to start talking @antanddec yet you're seeing before your eyes how @NaughtyBoyMusic is being treated? With all this hate towards him, I'll be surprised if he doesn't have a breakdown!"

"All I’ve seen since this series started are tweets about NB slagging him off. No one else. Everything is about him. Why is everyone so triggered? It reeks of racism to me, NGL," another posted.

However, others quickly pointed out that it was Naughty Boy's own attitude to his fellow campers, as one explained: "It's the way Naughty Boy talks to people!"

"The way he acted with the whole rice situation was childish, he went to sleep and refused to get up and eat that’s why people don’t believe that he’s being mature," someone else followed up.

I'm A Celeb continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
