I’m A Celebrity campmate sparks concern as they go ‘missing’ during episode

Josie Gibson caused a panic in the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity with viewers fearing that she had already been sent home.

The adored This Morning presenter has won a legion of fans during her time in the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle as the final draws nearer. But eagle eyed viewers felt all was not well when she was nowhere to be seen in scenes around the camp on the ITV show on Thursday night (December 7).

Worry set in as to where missing Josie was after the star ended up in the bottom two on Wednesday night's eviction vote. I'm A Celebrity presenters Ant and Dec kept viewers guessing with a long silence before actually revealing the name of the fourth celebrity campmate to leave the jungle was Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard.

But following their teasing, fans still asked if there had been an editing error or if something else had happened as they worried that Josie had already been sent home. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) one person asked: "Where’s Josie?"

Joining in with the questioning, another viewer said: "I’m so confused as to where Josie is?? Have they f***** up with the editing and she’s already gone home?"

Another user chimed: "Where the hell is Josie?" And a fourth commented: "Where is Josie?"

There were further questions throughout the show of a similar nature, with a viewer pointing out: "Where's Josie tonight?" And another who added: "What's happened to Josie?"

I'm A Celeb fans were shocked when Josie Gibson appeared to be in the bottom two before Nick's exit. But the show's rules have been clarified on ITV's morning lifestyle show, Lorraine.

Its host Lorraine Kelly, 64, explained the matter: "That doesn't mean that she was last? It can be anybody because they say it 'might be you'. So everybody shouldn't worry about Josie, I don't think."

ITV showbiz reporter Richard Arnold replied: "No they shouldn't worry and it's one thing the friends and family sort of think of when they see the crestfallen looks on their loved ones when they're in camp. It's in no particular order so another person is always thrown in the mix, if you like, to stir the pot.

"If you remember, way back when, Harry Redknapp was on the odd occasion: 'It could be you' and of course he triumphed at the end [in 2018]. So don't read too much into that!" he added.
