I'm A Celeb fans convinced politicians Dominic Raab and Ester McVey are heading to the jungle as surprise final campmates after they resign over Brexit

The high-profile politicians both quit over Brexit earlier today – and with three days still to go until the hit ITV show kicks off, viewers think they could be late additions to the line-up.

Last night, Theresa May's EU withdrawal agreement was approved by senior ministers in a tense Cabinet meeting lasting five hours.

However, this morning Dominic Raab, the Brexit Secretary, and Esther McVey, the Work and Pensions Secretary, both quit in protest at the proposed deal.

Now, fans of I'm A Celebrity have suggested that, with a bit more time on their hands, they could be heading down under.

They took to Twitter to speculate that the pair could now be in talks to follow in the footsteps of Edwina Currie in 2014 and Kezia Dugdale in 2017

Raab and McVey would be joining famous faces including Nick Knowles, Harry Redknapp, Noel Edmonds and Emily Atack.

One wrote: "That’s #Raab and #McVey off to the Jungle, then… #ImACeleb #Brexit"

Another commented: "Dominic Raab and Esther Mcvey to be the two late arrivals on I'm a Celeb"

A third shared: "Have Raab and McVey been announced for I'm a Celeb yet?"

It comes as Holly Willoughby has shared her first video from the I'm a Celebrity jungle and revealed "everything wants to eat you".

The 37-year-old presenter jetted out to Australia last week to co-host the ITV reality show with Declan Donnelly.

Ahead of the launch on Sunday night, Holly sent her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield and her replacement Rochelle Humes a video from the jungle set to give them an update.

She said: "It's only me in the Australian jungle.

"I've arrived safe and sound, I'm settling into my new home. It's amazing here.
"It's so beautiful, for someone who is not that brilliant with nature I'm sort of fitting in OK."

Holly then talked the pair through what she had been up to since landing Down Under.
