How to Dress Like Meghan Markle: Where to Buy the Duchess of Sussex's Most Affordable Looks

Meghan Markle is the British royal family’s new style icon. The Duchess of Sussex is always perfectly poised and put together, managing to look chic but never stuffy. It’s a look many women hope to emulate, and thanks to her penchant for affordable yet stylish looks, it may be easier than you think. Here’s how you can dress like Meghan Markle even if you don’t have a royal-sized budget.

Start at Everlane

The Duchess loves pieces from Everlane, which creates affordable, high-quality basics at ethical factories around the globe. She’s been spotted with their Day Market Tote, a go-anywhere leather bag that costs $175. A cashmere crew neck sweater that she’s worn while traveling is a mere $100.

Pick up a few things from J. Crew

Preppy favorite J. Crew also gets some space in Meghan’s closet. She was seen wearing a two-tone white and navy coat from J. Crew at an event in Birmingham earlier in 2018. Miraculously, you can still get it online, and it’s only $298.

The Duchess also slipped on a pair of black J. Crew ankle boots during her tour of Australia with Princy Harry, but sadly, they’re sold out. A wicker clutch she carried to a polo match this summer is also sold out. But you can still get the linen shirt she’s been seen wearing, though the white version is no longer available.

Swing by Madewell

Unsurprisingly, Meghan also favors pieces from J. Crew’s sister brand Madewell. She’s been spotted several times donning a white Panama hat from the brand. Like many of her favorites, it’s sold out, but a natural-colored version is still in stock, and it’s just $65. A denim jacket she wore back in her pre-royal days is no longer available, but you can shop the brand’s other affordable denim jackets here – most cost less than $150.

Fill your cart at Nordstom

We know that Meghan loves structured handbags from Strathberry, and Nordstrom is one of the U.S. retailers that stocks the brand.

You can also snag a pair of Meghan’s favorite jeans at Nordstrom. The future Duchess wore a pair of ripped Mother brand jeans when she joined Harry at the Invictus Games in September 2017. While torn denim is now a no-no for the Duchess (at least in public), those who have to follow fewer rules can get them for $228.

Choose a dress at Club Monaco

While the price tag on many of Meghan’s outfits has gone up now that she’s a royal, she’s not afraid to choose more budget-friendly pieces. On her royal tour of Australia she wore a black dress with gold buttons from Club Monaco. You can still buy it for $268.

She also wore a Club Monaco shirtdress to a wedding in August and a burgundy velvet frock from the brand to the Queen’s Christmas celebration last year, but both are sold out.

Snap up something from Misha Nonoo

Misha Nonoo might not be a well-known name to many, but she’s a close friend of Meghan (she may have even set her up with Prince Harry). So you can be sure the Duchess is wearing a few of the designer’s pieces. One is this $250 Saturday Skirt which Meghan work at her charity cookbook launch in September. The Husband Shirt that Meghan wore at the Invictus Games was also designed by Nonoo. It costs $185.

Cover your toes with a pair of Rothy’s shoes

Meghan typically favors heels, but now that she’s pregnant, she’s been seen wearing flats. Specifically, a pair of black, pointed-toe flats from Rothy’s. The shoes are made from recycled water bottles, are washable, and cost $145. In addition to basic black, they’re available in more than a dozen fun colors and patterns.
