How can I audition for the X Factor 2020?

There are usually two ways to audition for the X Factor.

Solo acts and groups can choose to audition in person or by uploading a video online. But it is also possible to do both.

The audition process for The X Factor 2020 hasn't kicked off yet but acts are eager to get started after the traditional format has been given a break in 2019.

Simon Cowell has made the decision to axe the traditional format of the ITV show this year in favour of celebrity and all-star versions.

When is the X Factor 2020 on ITV and who is hosting?

A start date will be announced closer to the beginning of the series.

It's likely to launch in September and run to mid-December.

The 2018 series first aired on September 1 with the final on December 2.

Dermot O'Leary is likely to return as host after making his big comeback to the show in 2016.

Who are the judges for The X Factor 2019?

The X Factor 2020 judges have not yet been confirmed.

The 2018 judging panel was made up of Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell

Nile Rodgers also filled in for Robbie for several weeks while he was on tour in South America.

The judges for the 2019 series is still yet to be confirmed and time will tell if those judges are back again for the 2020 series.

What is the audition criteria for the X Factor 2020?

In 2018 the age limit for auditionees was lowered to 14.

Proof of age and ID will be required at the first audition stage and all auditionees under 18 years of age will require authorised leave from school or college and an adult accompaniment.

Each applicant must have the right to live and work in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
