David Suchet CBE was born on May 2, 1946 – which makes him 72-years-old.
He is an English actor, known for his work on British stage and television.
Born in London, David joined the National Youth Theatre when he was 18 and then went onto train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
He made his television debut in 1970 and his career has thrived ever since.
Now, he is gearing up to star in BBC drama Press as the chairman and CEO of Worldwide News.
He has taken on numerous roles in his decades-long acting career
Fame and broadcasting seem to run in David Suchet's family.
His brother John is a television presenter, author, radio host, and newsreader.
Similarly, John's son Rory Suchet is a broadcast journalist.
That makes David uncle to two broadcaster nephews as broadcaster Richard Suchet also happens to be related to him.
David first met his wife Sheila Ferris in 1972 while they were both working at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry.
The pair tied the know in 1976 and have two children together.
Sheila is also an actress, best known for her parts in Graham's Gang (1977), The House of Elliot (1992) and Yes Minister (1980).
