Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married in May 2018, shortly before their two year dating anniversary, and now, six months into marriage, are pregnant with their first child. While it might seem like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship has moved quickly, the two allegedly hit it off right from the start. According to reports, Prince Harry even admitted that he knew Meghan was “the one” from the moment they first met.

Can you imagine going on a blind date with a real-life prince? That’s what happened to Meghan Markle back in spring 2016. At the request of a mutual friend, the former actress met her future husband for drinks and, well, the rest is history.

Africa holds a special place in their hearts

Shortly after meeting, Prince Harry asked his new love interest to go on a trip to Africa with him. According to reports, it’s where to two fell in love. Since then, they have traveled back for Meghan Markle’s birthday and, rumor has it, spent their honeymoon on the continent.

The royal family loved Meghan from the beginning

Not too long after their relationship got serious, Prince Harry brought Meghan Markle to London to meet his family for the first time (talk about intimidating). According to reports, the royal family — including Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II — adored Meghan from their first meeting. Even the queen’s corgis couldn’t get enough of her!

They got engaged in their Kensington Palace kitchen
