'House Of Cards' Spoils Kevin Spacey's Fate In Final Season Teaser

What goes around comes around for Frank Underwood.

A new teaser for the sixth and final season of House of Cards was released on Wednesday, and it boldly reveals the fate of its leading man. President Underwood has been killed offscreen which certainly sets things up nicely for the remaining characters. This is clearly an unsurprising revelation, given the sexual misconduct allegations brought against Kevin Spacey last fall. The disgraced actor was swiftly fired from the Netflix series, leaving the future of Frank in limbo… until now.

Season 5 ended with Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) as the President of the United States. Based on the teaser, she’s determined to build a legacy that will not only surpass Frank’s but will also stand the test of time.

“I’ll tell you this, though, Frances. When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line,” Claire coldly murmurs.

Not only is Frank’s grave next to his father’s, but he also died in 2017 — the same year Spacey’s career was buried for good. (Oh, the irony!)

What do you think of teaser? Do you think Frank is really dead or could this possibly be a dream sequence? Hit the comments to dish and discuss all your unfiltered commentary.

House of Cards returns on Friday, Nov. 2 on Netflix.
