A three-bed home in Oxford that was destroyed by fire has gone on sale for £50,000.
The terraced property is located in Watlington Road, Cowley, and has been listed at the affordable price after being burnt to the ground in February.
It has been described as the ‘ultimate fixer upper’ and a complete renovation is needed.
Ten months after the horrific blaze, potential owners are now being given the chance to purchase.
However, possible buyers have been warned the work needed could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The home, which is certainly the cheapest in the Oxford area, has no roof, is completely boarded up and needs both structural and interior work.
Listed on McHugh and Co, buyers are warned that they view the property ‘at their own risk’ due to its current condition.
It has two floors and is situated near to the junction with Berry Close, meaning it is in close proximity to local shops and public transport.
The home has three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, while on the second lies a reception room and a kitchen.
There is also a front and back garden.
Tragically, the homeowner – 77-year-old Martin Patten – was killed in the fire alongside his dog Jolly.
Family friend Lynne Berry set out to raise £350,000 to aid a rebuild of the home, which she described as ‘barely a shell.’
Sadly, the fundraiser was cancelled after she received online abuse.
The house will now be auctioned on Thursday, December 2.
