Hollyoaks star Daisy Wood-Davis has hit out at some “so-called fans” after her mobile number was leaked and shared online.
The actress, who plays Kim Butterfield in the Channel 4 soap, told Twitter that she will be contacting the police about the “horrible abuse” she has received via WhatsApp.
Daisy confirmed that her number had been leaked to the public after it was lifted from a poster about her missing cat and that she is now receiving unwelcome phone calls and messages.
“Received yet another call & WhatsApp off a so called ‘fan’ today informing me that my number is being shared on a HO fanpage,” she wrote on Twitter.
“This has come from my missing cat posters – NOT cool AT ALL. Any ‘fans’ who harass me via my phone number or use it even once will be blocked instantly.”
Daisy – who has since been reunited with her cat – went on to call the situation “a shame”.
In slightly happier news, Daisy has also been using Twitter to try to convince Rick Astley to join the cast of Hollyoaks.
After a number of celebrity cameos recently, Daisy is hopeful that Rick will be the next star to make an appearance on the soap as “a figment of Kim’s imagination”.
Don’t let her down, Rick.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
