Hollyoaks star Adam Woodward reveals new downward spiral for Brody after he visits Buster

Hollyoaks star Adam Woodward has revealed that his character Brody will undergo a new downward spiral after he visits Buster in prison.

Woodward is in the midst of his first big storyline, in which Buster (Nathan Sussex) is revealed to be Brody’s abuser. But things don’t pan out exactly as Brody expects when the two of them come face-to-face under very different circumstances.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Woodward explained why Brody goes to visit Buster.

“Brody wants some kind of apology, or explanation about what happened to him,” he said. “But basically Buster tells him that he’s a liar – that he’s made all of this up and that he’s ruined Buster’s relationship with Damon.

“It’s really not what Brody wanted to hear, and it sends him in a downward spiral. There’s a lot of turmoil for him.”

So, it seems the torment is sadly still ongoing for Brody.

When the abuse episodes aired, Woodward said the reaction from viewers was incredible, and that he was keeping up with social media to see if they’d done the story justice and that they’d hit the right level.

“I can honestly say I didn’t see a single negative comment,” he added. “It blew me away! I tried to reply to as many people as possible, but my inbox was filling up too fast!”

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
