Hollyoaks Spring trailer teases Juliet lie, Royal arrival and unexpected return

Hollyoaks fans can expect plenty of drama this Spring as there's plenty of romance and heartbreak ahead.

A new trailer dropped by soap bosses has teased what's coming up in Chester over the new few months.

Launching and ending with scenes from Chester races, the teaser advert sets out the stall for the stories coming up in the next few months.

Love is in the air as Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) rekindle their old romance and Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell) and Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) appear to be getting closer.

While Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and James Nightingale's (Greg Finnegan)wedding planning steps up, despite a huge clash in their ideas of what the big day should look like.

Lovestruck Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) and Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) remain inseparable as they support each other through Juliet's cancer diagnosis.

However, Peri struggles with the weight of carrying the secret that Juliet hasn't had the stem cell treatment that her loved ones hoped would help her.

Unable to carry the weight of this any longer, she blurts out to Juliet's shocked mum Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson).

Devastated at running out of treatment options for Juliet, big brother James is set on finding private treatment for her.

But his persistence in pursuing immoral options may put his wedding in jeopardy, especially when he visits incel Eric Hutchinson (Angus Castle-Doughty) in prison.

With putting Juliet first, is James signing a deal with the devil?

Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) is certain that his tip will pay dividends for him and Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) at Chester Races.

But it might be the worst bet he ever made as while in the royal box, Sienna meets Earl, Rafe (Chris Gordon) and appears charmed by him.

There's also relief for Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) as missing Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrene) returns to the village and Sharon Bailey (Jamelia) also makes a comeback to reunite with her mum Peal Anderson (Dawn Hope) and daughter Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown).

Hollyoaks airs weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
