Hollyoaks favourite Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) becomes increasingly concerned about Darren Osborne's (Ashley Taylor Dawson) obsessive behaviour next week.
She takes a sneaky look at her partner's journal and is left gobsmacked when she reads that he "wants to end it all".
Darren is still obsessing over the duck eggs and tells Mandy he's fine, unaware of what she read.
Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) reminds Mandy that Kyle Kelly was also "happy and fine" before he ended his life, prompting Mandy to run and look for Darren.
Will Mandy get Darren the help he desperately needs?
Elsewhere in the village, Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) has been tasked with getting supplies for Liberty Strange (Jessamy Stoddart).
Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan) is horrified to see that he's got a copy of The Red Door, the experimental book written about Toby (Bobby Gordon) and Celeste (Andrea Ali) as children, among Liberty's belongings.
Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) thinks they should read it to better understand Toby, but when Toby catches them with it he's furious and it's up to desperate Celeste to calm him down.
Toby is frantic later in the week when he realises that some pages from The Red Door book have gone missing.
When he and Celeste are invited to a family meal, Toby decides to find out who's got them and the mystery is solved when Toby spots the pages in Mitchell's bag.
Toby later invites Mitchell to meet up in private so he can explain his side of the story.
Mitchell is summoned to Toby's flat to discuss the book but it seems Toby has other more sinister plans for his brother when he brings up Dr. Ley.
After overhearing an argument between Celeste and Toby, dad Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) wants to know what Toby has done.
Later, Toby is like a rabbit in headlights when Felix reveals that Celeste told him everything.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap will know that Toby brutally murdered Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adadeji) in dramatic scenes earlier this month.
Felix has been determined to find out what happened to Lisa ever since she disappeared from Scott and Mitchell's wedding ceremony.
Toby and Celeste managed to convince their family that she had jetted off to Ibiza but things never stay secret for long in Hollyoaks village.
Has Celeste really told Felix about her brother's killer secret or is this part of Felix's campaign to find out more about missing Lisa?
Elsewhere Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) "accidentally" lets slip about his and Sienna Blake's (Anna Passey) meet up the other day, leaving Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) wanting answers.
Also Felix finds himself in hot water with secret lover Grace Black (Tamara Wall) when he stands her up to spend some time with Martine.
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Thursday on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
