Hollyoaks confirms huge death – as the McQueens are destroyed by tragedy

Hollyoaks has confirmed the death of a beloved McQueen family member, with tragedy lined up for the clan next week.

Bronzer, the family’s pet dog, who made his debut five years ago with owner and serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady), will sadly die in upcoming scenes.

We’re not crying, we swear.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), as viewers know, has been secretly working with Lacey Lloyd (Annabelle Davis) in a bid to get Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) moved to another children’s home following his attack.

James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), however, was adamant that his law offices would not be assisting Mercedes in her quest, due to Bobby’s role in Verity Hutchinson’s (Eva O’Hara) demise.

But the truth was exposed on Monday (July 24), with James seething upon finding out that Lacey had been helping Mercedes, subsequently confronting Goldie (Chelsee Healey) in a heated showdown.

Amid the showdown Bronzer vanished, with it later being confirmed that James had the dog in his possession. But emotional scenes ensued, with Bronzer seen not breathing.

Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) was horrified to find Bronzer unconscious on the floor of the Nightingale household, informing a shocked James that the dog wasn’t breathing.

Bronzer’s fate remained uncertain as the credits rolled on the episode in question, but Hollyoaks subsequently confirmed the dog’s tragic fate in a tweet.

The beautician will also want revenge for what James has done, but will Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) or Mercedes be able to stop her from doing something she might regret?

Will Goldie be able to come to terms with her tragic loss?

One to watch: Friday July 28 at 7pm on E4.
