Hollyoaks‘ Breda McQueen will urge Mercedes to call off her wedding to Russ Owen tonight (September 17).
Russ has just bought The Dog in a desperate attempt to save his relationship with Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), but Sylver still poses a threat to their happiness.
Sylver has tried to put aside his own feelings for Mercedes for the sake of her relationship with Russ, but his mum Breda isn’t about to be so diplomatic.
Convinced that Mercedes cares more for Sylver than she’s letting on, Monday’s first look scenes will see Breda desperately try to convince her to ditch Russ once and for all.
Unfortunately, Breda’s good intentions could have the opposite effect as Mercedes gets the wrong end of the stick during their conversation.
As Breda tells Mercedes that Sylver is in love with her, Mercedes becomes convinced that he must have told his mum what happened between them in Magaluf.
The clip above shows Mercedes storming off to berate Sylver for revealing their secret, but has Breda inadvertently made everything worse?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
