Holly Willoughby could end Ant and Dec's 17-year run of Best Presenter at the National Television Awards

Bookies are tipping the This Morning host to beat the Geordie duo following Ant's drink-drive conviction earlier this year.

It's after she won the hearts of the nation in her role as Dec's sidekick since making her I'm A Celebrity debut last Sunday.

She has been praised for her sense of humour and style, with many thinking this could spell the end of Ant and Dec's unbeaten run in the Best Presenter category.

Her odds have been slashed to 5-2 by Betway, with her closest rival Phillip Schofield at 8-1.

It would be a huge NTAs shock if the duo were to be stopped in their tracks in the 18th year.

Ant announced he was stepping down from his TV commitments after being fined £86,000 following his guilty plea.

The 42-year-old smashed into two other cars with his £26k Mini after ending up on the wrong side of a Richmond road.

He had presented Saturday Night Takeaway less than 24 hours before he drove through south west London with his mum and dog.

Ant did not appear on TV again, apart from in some pre-recorded segments of Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent.

Instead he spent time in rehab before asking pal Holly to keep his seat warm for next year.

She is one of the UK's highest paid TV presenters, with a whopping £10million thought to be in the bank.

Dec even roasted Holly for her jungle pay cheque and 13-strong entourage during Tuesday night's show.
