‘Gotham’ Unearthes First Full Look at Terminator-Like Bane

FOX’s “Gotham” has put a mystery to how Shane West‘s take on Bane will look like. The series has revealed the first full look at the supervillain, who is set to come and wreck havoc in the fifth and final season of the DC series.

The first image, which comes from Entertainment Weekly, offers an intriguing details of the character. West’s Bane is more like a mixture of the “The Dark Knight Rises” version (which is played by Tom Hardy) and Darth Vader from “Star Wars”.

West’s Bane appears to have a large breathing machine strapped over the bottom half of his face. It also has a machinery that is put on his chest which is presublamy a replacement for his entire upper body.

However, it should be noted that this picture may not be the final look at West’s Bane. “Gotham” is known for putting their characters in a prototype costume at first. The first version usually vaguely resembles the comic book counterpart of the character before finally reaching the final form.

“Gotham” is set to wrap its story in the upcoming fifth and final season. The new season will be having 13 episodes, bringing the total episodes of “Gotham” to 100 episodes.

“The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, which revealed an entirely new chapter that has never been told,” the network says in announcing the season 5 renewal. FOX also adds that the final season “will focus on Bruce Wayne’s transformation into the caped crusader.”

Developed by Bruno Heller, “Gotham” follows young James Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie) during his early days with the Gotham City Police Department. It later subsequently included the Wayne character and the origin stories of several Batman villains with David Mazouz playing young Bruce Wayne.

Also starring on the series are Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and Erin Richards as Barbara Kean. They are also joined by Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Jessica Lucas, Chris Chalk, Drew Powell, Alexander Siddig and Crystal Reed.

Words are season 5 of “Gotham” will arrive on March 15, 2019 on FOX, but nothing has yet to be confirmed.
