Good Morning Britain viewers surprised as Happy Mondays Shaun Ryder looks dramatically different with no hair – The Sun

HAPPY Monday's wild man Shaun Ryder shocked viewers when he appeared on Good Morning Britain without any hair on his body.

The 56-year-old Manchester music legend is usually seen with a cropped haircut and a face covered in fuzz.

Shaun explained that all his body hair had fallen out, explaining: "No eyelashes, no fingernails, no head, no hair whatsoever."

The former drug addict, who curbed his rock'n'roll ways in the wake of George Michael's death in 2016, was on the show to announce a new tour.

He told hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard: "I’ve just had a new hip, and at the same time all my body hair decides to fall out.

"No eyelashes, no fingernails, no head, no hair whatsoever. We don’t really know [why].

"Because I have an underactive thyroid that makes you put on weight and slow down, they thought it might have been linked to that or the fact I don’t produce testosterone anymore.

"They thought it might be linked to that. Now it doesn’t look like that.

"They said it might be stress related, but I’m the least stressed I’ve ever been in my life, so they’ve got a lot more experimenting on me to find out."

Many viewers were stunned by his appearance, with one tweeting: I havent seen him in a while, he's unrecognisable."

Others claimed they thought the show was showing the FaceApp version of himself – which makes pictures of what people might look like when they’re older.

One asked: "Has somebody used that faceapp to mess with Shaun Ryder's face? ? "

Later, speaking to Radio X, Shaun spoke about his largely-vegan diet and the high he felt after coming round from the hip op that sparked his hair loss.

He explained: "I woke up just feeling fantastic. Such a buzz. I wanna go for more operations."
