Good Morning Britain viewers mock Joe Swash for on-air blunder as he calls the Prince of Wales Prince Chiles

The I'm A Celebrity Extra Camp host made an embarrassing error as he presented from Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland this morning.

Joe, 36, said: "I'm here in the spectacular Dumfries House in Ayrshire.

"It's an amazing, amazing place. I'll give you some history first.

"It was built in the 1700s and ten years ago it got itself a brand new owner… the Royal Heiness Prince William, oh yes.

"Wait, not Prince William, Prince Chiles! Sorry Prince Chiles, Prince Chiles!"

Joe didn't appear to notice he had got the future king's name wrong as he talked about Prince Charles' project to tackle loneliness and isolation.

But viewers at home certainly did pick up on his gaffe.

One said: "Oh. My. Actual. God. How can Joe Swash be allowed on TV? Who is “Prince Chiles”?

"How can it be so hard to read the words, “Prince Charles” off an autocue? Is Joe Swash the thickest guy on telly? #JoeSwash #GMB @GMB."

Another added: "#gmb Joe swash pronouncing our future king as chiles?after getting wrong name? give me strength. bbc it is."

Someone ranted: "Oi Joe … Who the hell is Prince Chiles??? … All those talented tv presenters out there & they choose this horror show. #GMB it's embarrassing."

Another added: "Joe Swash confidently telling us all about ‘Prince Giles’ there ???‍♀️ #gmb #goodmorningbritain."

Even host Ben Shephard took a swipe at Joe as he sarcastically said: "It's fantastic that Prince Chiles turned up for that."
