Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway ‘signs up’ for I’m A Celeb line-up

Television favourite Kate Garraway is reportedly set to swap the sofa for a hammock.

The Good Morning Britain presenter has reportedly signed up to take part in I'm A Celeb which begins next month.

The 52-year-old host has booked time off work, according to The Sun.

Kate had been in talks to enter the jungle last year but turned down the deal because of her hectic schedule.

But the mum-of-two is allegedly ready to take part and will fly out to Oz in a few weeks.

Kate, who has been an ITV regular for more than two decades, said her children Darcey, 13, and William, 10, were keen for her to take part in the popular TV show.

She told The Sun: “I think it’s completely terrifying but it’s also a brilliant show to watch, so I don’t know.

“My kids would love me to do it, I don’t know what that says.

“People keep saying I’d be good in there and basically what that means is you want to see me tortured."

Kate isn't the only rumoured ITV star set to take on the Bushtucker Trials.

Actress Lucy Fallon is set to leave Corrie early next year, so is a huge contender to head Down Under.

Fellow Corrie co-star Alan Halsall dropped a huge hint that he was going to be appearing on the Ant and Dec-fronted show earlier this year.

The Tyrone Dobbs actor uploaded a picture of himself sitting in the wilderness, as he added bug emojis in a cryptic caption.

Meanwhile, the start date of the show is yet to be announced.

However if it follows the pattern of previous years, fans can expect to see it back in mid-November.

It returns this winter on ITV.
