Gogglebox fans have been left gutted after best friends Jenny Newby and Lee Riley confirmed on Instagram that the show was coming to an end.
Luckily, they just meant that Friday night's episode would be the last in the current series, but they wouldn't be off-screen for too long.
Taking to Instagram, the duo, from Hull, shared a festive photo of them putting up a sparkling Christmas tree.
The post was captioned: "Happy Friday everyone or is it? Last Gogglebox of the series tonight [crying emoji].
"Hope you enjoy the show bit of light relief, we're still doing the tree now the cameras have gone, see you at nine."
Fans shared their disappointment that the series had come to an end and took to the comment section to make it clear.
One person said: "Well I for one will miss you all. Have a great Christmas and stay safe."
A second wrote: "Aww, gutted this season is nearly over. Merry Christmas to you guys."
While a third added: "Gutted it's the last one, you two are the tonic we all need right now."
While the current series has now ended, there will be more Gogglebox on our screens before the end of the year.
There are set to be three special episodes of the fan-favourite Channel 4 show over the Christmas period.
Next Friday, on December 18, the stars of Celebrity Gogglebox will return for a highlight of all of this year's episodes.
The likes of Rylan Clark-Neal, father and son duo Martin and Roman Kemp, Denise van Outen, Jamie Theakston and Ashley Roberts and Happy Mondays pals Shaun Ryder and Bez will appear again.
Fans are in for a treat on Christmas Day, as Gogglebox: Best of 2020 will air.
Then on New Year's Day, a Festive Special is coming, with the Goggleboxers taking a look back at some of the biggest Christmas TV moments.
