Gemma Collins pays emotional tribute to boyfriend's ex wife & thanks her for 'greatest gift' of being a stepmum

GEMMA Collins has paid tribute to her boyfriend Rami Hawash's ex wife and revealed their strong bond.

The Towie diva dumped her former co-star James 'Arg' Argent for good in 2020 and fell back into the arms of an old flame, handsome businessman Rami.

The smitten couple, who had a three-year on/off romance until 2014, reunited last year and ever since, the ITV darling has been a proud stepmother to Rami and his former wife's son, who she regularly features on her social media.

Showing gratitude for what 2021 has brought her, Gemma said "falling in love", becoming a stepmum and having a great relationship with Rami's ex have brought her joy.

Speaking on The Gemma Collins Podcast, she shared: "I thought I would share my personal biggest highlight of the year, I think it would be falling in love and thinking it would never happen for me.

"I’ve had the biggest gift of my life, something that money can’t buy and that is my beautiful stepson, who I love so much.

"I’m very grateful that we have such a wonderful relationship, myself and Rami with his mum, the beautiful Fernanda.

"It’s kind of like a pinch me moment, I went to her house yesterday for dinner and I sat there and I was like this is so surreal but so wonderful.

"Two really strong women and a great dad and the love we have for the child.

"He has given me the biggest joy of my life, I always felt something was kind of missing, I had it all but there was a little part of the puzzle missing and Rami bringing that to my life and his mum being so kind and letting me be there in the child’s life is the biggest gift I’ve ever had.

"I just want to say a very special thank you."

Gemma and Rami previously split in 2014 after three years of dating, but they grew close again during lockdown and following Gemma's break-up with James 'Arg' Argent.

The TV star recently revealed she's keen to get in shape in order to have a baby with Rami after they started dating again.

The reality TV favourite – who was previously engaged to Rami, recently opened up about her dreams of having her own children in the near future before sharing her Rami’s son – as well as her two nephews.

Sharing a picture of herself cuddled up to the toddler, Gemma wrote: "No feeling like it. My little prince, being a step mummy is so rewarding love is free and so rewarding nothing can put a price on this.

"I’m really looking forward to all the Christmas stuff coming up days out etc things to see and of course my Hayden will be with me and Kane.

"Auntie stepmum and hopefully god will give me a gift one day but I am so happy with what I have right now #sharingthelove and a HUGE THANK YOU to his lovely mummy for letting me look after him."

Earlier this year, Gemma sparked rumours that she had got engaged to Rami when she stepped out wearing the £16,000 ring he gifted her in 2013.

Gemma was snapped with the sparkler on her right hand – not her left – while out for a girls' dinner with her pals in London.

Although Rami has not yet popped the question, Gemma admitted she’s scared to wear it in public for fear of getting mugged.

It comes after pal and former Towie star Joey Essex had his £10,000 Rolex watch stolen at knifepoint on the street in 2012.

She told The Sun in an exclusive chat earlier this month: “I know we will end up together but at the moment a wedding isn’t our priority.

"He paid for a ring years ago, but I only wear it if I’m with Rav or my security guard, Sid.

“I don’t wear any jewellery out. I don’t keep any at my home, it’s all locked in a safe.

"I’m savvy enough to know that there are gangs that follow you around in London. You’ve got to be on the ball and vigilant. It happened to poor Joey — it’s very scary.”
