The reality TV star dumped Arg after he posted a video of her snoring on Instagram last week.
Gemma had planned a romantic getaway with Arg to a juicing retreat in Portugal, The Sun Online previously revealed.
But the 38-year-old cancelled the trip after becoming fed up with his behaviour, friends said.
A source told The Sun Online: "Gemma had planned to go to Portugal with Arg, but she has changed her mind. She said she does not need the toxic energy.
"She has been overwhelmed by all that has been going on, and just needs time by herself. She's going through a period of rediscovery. It looks like she really is finished with Arg right now."
Earlier this week Gemma and Arg spent the night together after he was pictured sneaking into her house to beg for forgiveness.
Arg, 31, broke down in tears as he apologised to his on/ off girlfriend – who he sent cruel fat jibes to earlier this week.
Gemma was left mortified when Arg shared a video of her snoring to his Instagram Story earlier this week – and immediately kicked him out of her Essex home.
She was further heartbroken when Arg sent her a series of fatshaming text messages, telling the devastated star that she has "more rolls than Greggs."
The Sun Online exclusively revealed that friends close to the stars believe that Arg and Gemma will get back together eventually because "they love each other too much".
Meanwhile Gemma has called the cops today after she spotted a man who previously shouted "fat c***" at her in the street hanging around her house.
The reality TV star said she was "scared for her life" after sharing footage of her filming the man from her window as he was spoken to by police.
She claims he has spent six days outside her home making her feel fearful to leave.
The Towie star believes it is a man called Dan Harbut who previously abused her out of a car window.
Gemma told fans: "Do you all remember that shocking video of two boys horrifically ABUSING ME well I am now petrified for my LIFE he has now found my home I AM SCARED FOR MY LIFE.
"I am so grateful for how amazing the police have been I am actually scared for my life ….. has been here since SATURDAY why would you abuse someone then find out where they live and make them petrified I can’t leave my home through FEAR …..
