Game Of Thrones star SLAMS petition for season eight remake: ‘It’s absurd’

Game of Thrones cast member Isaac Hempstead Wright said it was “absurd” and “ridiculous” to suggest series 8 of the HBO show is re-made.

The calls came from viewers who aren’t happy with the final season of the fantasy drama.

Currently, more than 900,000 people have signed an online change.org petition asking for a series 8 remake.

They claim the final six episodes seem “rushed”.

“It’s just ridiculous”

Fans of the show also weren’t happy with episode 5 of season 8, which saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) burn Kings Landings, and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) crushed by a falling building.

Isaac, 22, commented: “It’s just absurd. I can’t even fathom it. It’s just ridiculous.

“It’s ridiculous that people think they can just demand a different ending because they don’t like it.”

The actor continued telling The Hollywood Reporter that he has “stupidly” taken the calls for a remake personally.

Isaac also said he was a fan of Daenerys demise – saying it had been hinted to in previous series.

He added: “People have complained there wasn’t enough foreshadowing but time upon time, she’s demonstrated a capacity to be quite brutal.

“She’s waited years and years to get over to Westeros and take what is hers. She’s been delayed. She’s had to fight an army of literal dead people.

“She’s sick of it. She’s p**sed off and she’s lost her mind.

Isaac isn’t the only GOT star to hit back against the petition.

Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm, labelled the backlash “insulting” to the hardworking cast and crew.

Game of Thrones airs Mondays on Sky Atlantic and can be streamed on NOW TV.
