Game of Thrones season 8: Showrunners drop major ENDING bombshell

Game of Thrones fans are desperate to know exactly how the epic HBO story is going to end, and there’s only six episodes to wrap everything up one last time.

But while viewers are wondering who will take their seat on the enormous Iron Throne and rule Westeros, bosses David and Dan have actually revealed they were in the same position.

In a new interview, the pair admitted they have no idea how author George’s epic novels are going to end, as he is still in the process of writing, and as a result they’ve had to make an important decision.

David and Dan have revealed they are not going to prepare viewers and readers over the ending, meaning the conclusions could be incredibly different.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, David shared: “[The concern] used to be that the books would spoil the show for people — and luckily it did not, for the most part.

“Now that the show is ahead of the books, it seems the show could ruin the books for people.

“So one thing we’ve talked to George about is that we’re not going to tell people what the differences are, so when those books come out people can experience them fresh.”

The writer went on to say after conversations with the original author, it became clear he couldn’t have a clear plan over how the series will end, and it’s for a very specific reason.

David explained George “discovers a lot of stuff while he’s writing”.
