The 47-year-old telly presenter wants a new relationship after her marriage to Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave ended in 2004 and she was sectioned by her boyfriend Johnny Davies in 2007.
Speaking about what she's looking for in a boyfriend nowadays, she told The Mirror: “It’s not easy to meet someone the older you get and I’m not far off 50 now. They’re all married.
Gail added: "Where do I look? I can’t go internet dating. What if someone killed me or something?"
The former Celebrity Big Brother star began to lose her hair in 2005 as a result of the condition alopecia but recently appeared on Loose Women wearing a blonde wig.
However, she won't cover up for a man and said: "He has to love me bald, not just with hair, because that’s the real Gail."
Gail, who has 15-year-old daughter Honey with her ex, is now renting a flat in North London and still feels low at times.
She said: “I feel very alone sometimes. I feel ugly. I find it really hard to trust people in relationships …
“Now I don’t even think about feeling sexy.
"I just want hugs and cuddles and to help other people.
"My cat Pickles gives me cuddles. My daughter is my best friend."
In 1999 a nude photograph of Gail was projected onto the Houses Of Parliament in a bid for MPs to vote for her in the FHM Sexiest Women poll.
But Gail, who suffers from bi-polar disorder, said she never felt pretty.
She said: “I never saw myself as pretty. Not even then. I don’t remember being hit on by men.
She added: “I showed my daughter Honey those pictures of me from FHM the other day and I did tell her, ‘I rocked it, Honey’.
"I did think I had a good a**e back then. I probably still do. I work hard to stay looking young. But losing my hair was hard.”
