Friends’ Courteney Cox accused of looking ‘bored’ during Graham Norton interview

Friends star Courteney Cox failed to appease BBC viewers on Friday night after many fans believed she looked "bored" while appearing on The Graham Norton show.

The 57-year-old was one of the host's five guests on the evening programme and appeared alongside British stars Taron Egerton and Minnie Driver as well as actresses Uma Thurman and Ariana DeBose.

Promoting her new comedy-horror series Shining Veil, the Friends star dressed in all black while her brunette locks draped over her shoulders.

But despite appearing radiant on screen, fans felt she was disengaged with the conversation that was taking place on the show.

Taking to Twitter viewers shared their thoughts on the Hollywood legend.

One person wrote: "Courteney Cox looks bored. Such a shame #GrahamNortonShow."

Another said: "#Courteneycox looks like she wants to be somewhere else."

Meanwhile, a third spectator commented: "He really is superb at managing the guests. It was a tough one tonight, too – Courteney Cox looked like she wasn’t present at all, almost dissociated. Her eyes looked glazed over, which isn’t how she used to come across."

While on the chat show, Courteney did light up when she spoke about featuring in a music video alongside Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran.

Speaking openly about the spoof version of Sir Elton’s classic song Tiny Dancer, the star confessed that she wasn't given a warning that she was going to take part in the song.

She explained: "I called my piano teacher and said, 'You have to come to my house right now'. I had 20 minutes before Elton got there.

"My teacher taught me how to play that part. He was walking out as Elton was walking in."

She added: "It was the scariest and most nerve-wracking I've ever been, but it was the thrill of my life."

Courteney who is also known to fans for playing Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise Scream will soon reprise her role once again, as it has now been confirmed that a sixth film will be made.

Film companies Spyglass and Paramount recently released a joint statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday which read: "We are tremendously grateful to the fans around the world who enthusiastically received our film.

"We can’t wait for audiences to see what Radio Silence, writers Jamie & Guy and Project X have in store for our Woodsboro family."
