Frankie Bridge has come third in the latest series of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2021 leaving two to battle it out for the crown.

In a nail-biting elimination, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced the results of the latest public vote.

Danny Miller, Frankie Bridge and Simon Gregson all waited anxiously to find out the name of the first person to leave during the live final.

And it was revealed that Frankie has come in third place and was asked to leave camp immediately.

Fans watching at home, were left "gutted" as the hitmakers name was read out by hosts Ant and Dec.

One tweet read: "No I wanted Frankie to win, how did this happen? #Imacelebrity."

Another said: "Gutted Frankie didn't win #Imaceleb"

While others added: "Third place is great, well done Frankie #imacelebrity"

On Sunday's episode the former Saturday's star faced her worst fears as she competed for her final meal in camp.

Taking to a coffin-like box in the floor, Frankie closed her eyed as 50 snakes were added to the mix.

The singer overcame her fear and managed to earn herself a three course slap up meal as her last supper.

The news comes after Saturday's shock semi-final's eviction where David Ginola left Gwrych Castle.

Football icon David said the whole experience had been a "win" for him saying: "I was adopted when I came to Newcastle in 1995 and this is a second adoption."

David also spoke about his friendship with Emmerdale actor Danny, saying it stemmed from them having to suffer the hardship of the clink during the first few days of being on the gruelling ITV show.

The winner of I'm A Celebrity won't be handed over the crown by 2020 winner Giovanna Fletcher.

The podcaster was crowned the first ever Queen of the Castle last year and has now allegedly been banned from returning to the Welsh location to present her sceptre to this year's champion.

The ban comes as the Covid-19 pandemic continues, and the new Omicron variant sweeps through the United Kingdom.

A source has opened up to The Sun, confirming that Giovanna wouldn't be able to get involved with the tradition.

The insider said: "ITV would have loved to have Giovanna back, she was a hugely popular winner last year.

"But due to Covid rules — even with the show coming to an end on Sunday — it was decided they couldn’t take the risk without her isolating, which is a lot to ask for a one-minute cameo."

Last year when the show moved from Australia to Wales for the first time due to the pandemic, Jacqueline Jossa who was the Queen of the Jungle in 2019, was unable to hand over the crown.
