Congratulations are in order for Roxanne Pallett, as she is now engaged.
The former Emmerdale star admitted that her boyfriend popped the big question just one week after they met (and don’t be fooled by the photo above – they haven’t married just yet).
Roxanne met Lee Walton online in 2017, where they bonded over their shared love of Elvis Presley.
They finally met in December last year, with Roxanne saying she knew he was the one straight off.
“When I walked into the pub and saw him I thought, ‘Oh my God, you’re real!’ I just flung my arms around him and it was like we’d been together forever. We were kissing within five minutes,” she told OK! magazine.
Lee added: “I couldn’t look her in the eyes because she was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.”
And it took him just seven days to decide he wanted to marry her, popping the question a week later.
He explained: “She was getting ready and dancing and I said, ‘I could get used to this. Move in with me?’
“She agreed and on our first night living together I was looking at her, thinking, ‘God I love you.’ And then I just said, ‘Will you marry me?'”
Roxanne, who is rumoured to be joining Celebrity Big Brother, said: ‘”We were engaged within a week of meeting! I know it sounds crazy, but I knew my heart.”
As Lee didn’t have a ring for the spontaneous proposal, they decided to get matching ring finger tattoos instead.
He then saved up for a ring, popping the question again following the actress’s horror car crash in July.
Roxanne added that she’s made the decision to wear the ring on the ‘wrong’ hand so it doesn’t cover her tattoo.
