Face the Truth co-host Rosie Mercado is married!
The CBS talk show personality tied the knot with Gilberto Flores on Feb. 9 in Las Vegas, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
“An old school romance from 22 years ago, brought together by shared values: our Mexican culture and our love for family,” Mercado, 38, tells PEOPLE in a statement about their romance.
“We’re so blessed that after parting ways 22 years ago, that destiny brought us together again, this time as husband and wife,” the model adds.
During the intimate ceremony, Mercado and Flores were surrounded by loved ones and received a blessing from their pastor.
“We believe in God’s timing and that everything happens for a reason and we decided to celebrate our love on Feb. 9,” she says, “saying yes and receiving a blessing from our pastor surrounded by our family and the people we love in Las Vegas.”
For their special day, mom of three Mercado donned a fitted and plunging lace gown, which she accessorized with dangling earrings and a pink, shaggy coat.
New groom Flores, an entrepreneur and business owner, sported a navy suit, which he accessorized with a brown belt and matching shoes and a polka dot pocket square.
Following wedding tradition, the newlyweds added some extra sweetness to their special day with a white, rose-adorned, multi-tiered cake, which Mercado adorably smashed into Flores’ face.
More than a week after saying “I do,” Mercado shared an Instagram photo of the couple, which was captured during their Vegas nuptials, and spoke about being willing to love again.
“VEGAS nights with my ❤️ Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time #Vegas #latinos #relationship #faith,” she captioned the Feb. 17 snap.
