AceShowbiz -HBO has released the first trailer ahead of season 2. The new footage, which was released on Monday, December 20, treats fans to a better look at the new adventures for the show’s chaotic cast of characters.
In the trailer, Rue (Zendaya Coleman) can be seen dealing with the aftermath of her relapse. She’s seen attending meetings and getting mixed up with a dangerous drug dealing scheme. She’s also accused of selling drugs in her suitcase. Jules (Hunter Schafer), who hopped on a train in season 1 finale, is back as she gets worried about Rue’s state of mind.
Meanwhile, Nate (Jacob Elordi) continues to be volatile as he’s heading to a relationship with Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) which seems to be dangerous. As for Maddy (Alexa Demie), she laments how “sexy” she would look pregnant, with Fez (Angus Cloud) being concerned about Rue’s master plan.
Also returning for season 2 are Colman Domingo, Algee Smith, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Storm Reid, Austin Abrams and Nika King. Season 2 will also feature newcomers, including “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., Dominic Fike and Minka Kelly.
Loosely based on the Israeli television miniseries of the same name, “Euphoria” follows a group of high school students through their experiences of sex, drugs, friendships, love, identity and trauma.
Many fans have been anticipating the sophomore season of the show, especially after Zendaya’s historic night at last year’s Emmys. The “Spider-Man: No Way Home” actress became the youngest person ever to win in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for her role on “Euphoria”.
Directed by Sam Levinson, season 2 of “Euphoria” will premiere Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
