Emmys 2018 worst dressed: Tatiana Maslany wears shocking yellow and black pant suit dress

Some of Hollywood's biggest stars have missed the mark for the stunning ceremony that celebrates the best of television talent despite their armies of stylists and designers clamouring to dress them.

Emmy winner and Orphan Black actress Tatiany Maslany might have pulled off one of the most stunning dramatic performances on television this year in her sci-fi clone series, but her yellow and black pantsuit dress failed to impress fashion experts.

The actress will be hoping to take home another award after being nominated for best actress for her multiple roles in the BBC America series.

Blogger and British television presenter Louise Roe wore a geometric black and white striped dress that stood out boldly for all the wrong reasons.

Tracee Ellis Ross definitely made her mark in what appeared to be a huge hot pink duvet cover inspired dress.

The hilarious Tiffany Haddish appeared to have trouble deciding on one colour to wear, so wore all of them and drew comparisons from onlookers of a parachute.

Newcomer Kayli Carter, best known for her role in Netflix series Godless, also went with yellow in a bright and oversized structured gown.

Gimore Girls star Alexis Bledel tried the yellow look too, with a yellow sash in the middle of her muted pink gown.

Shannon Woodward, star of HBO's high-concept drama Westworld, also found herself on the list for an old-fashioned style black patterned frock.

Fashionista Poppy Delevingne wore a huge light blue dress that seemed to never end with huge amounts of excess fabric.

Tonight’s star-studded ceremony is taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Michael Che are presenting the show and promised fans they’d be stirring up trouble with their on-stage skits and gags.

Fans of Game Of Thrones are expecting big things from the hit HBO show after they missed out on last year’s Emmys.

The hit series is up for 22 gongs, with Peter Dinklage breaking the record for the most nominations in the drama performance category after receiving his seventh nod.

Claire Foy and Matt Smith are expected to be the big British winners tonight with both stars nominated for their roles in The Crown.

This is the final chance for the pair to win big at the Emmys after the pair handed over their crowns to Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies.

Sandra Oh, star of Killing Eve, also made history by becoming the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

UK film fans can view the ceremony using online streams including the Emmys Website, the Emmys Facebook page or the Emmys Youtube Channel.
