Emmerdale‘s Leyla Harding could live to regret getting involved in her fiancé Clive’s dodgy scam next week after making another shocking discovery.
Last night’s scenes saw Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) left horrified after rumbling Clive’s plan to sell a fake painting to gullible buyer Eleanor. But Leyla started to reconsider her options when she was offered a cut in the money.
Sure enough, Leyla’s on board by the time next week arrives – offering to be Clive and Frank’s getaway driver in the shameful scheme.
Putting their plan into action, Frank and Clive are soon loading the forged painting into Megan’s car ready for Leyla to drive away – but a last-minute discovery threatens to change everything.
Leyla is furious when she realises that Clive is planning to stitch Frank up as well, before fleeing the country, and is subsequently left with a delayed conscience at the eleventh hour. What will Leyla do? And could it cost her the man she loves?
Either way, it’s certainly game over for Frank when Megan finds out about the con and dumps him, but fans will have to wait and see whether Leyla follows suit as well…
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
