Emmerdale left us all in shock tonight (August 29) as Charity Dingle made a very rash decision… to drop the court case against DI Bails.
The corrupt copper returned with a new plan to turn Charity’s son Ryan Stocks against her, as he makes contact with the young lad and tells him he wants to talk and tell his side of the story.
Of course, we all know he just wants to manipulate events and break the trust Charity’s been trying so hard to build.
As Charity storms over to adoptive mum Irene’s, she sees the two together and Ryan tells her he wants to talk to Bails on his own and make his own mind up.
We then see Bails try to convince him that Charity is a liar and is trying to cope with her regret by coming up with all these statements about what happened, and how his current wife knows he couldn’t be capable of such a horrific act.
Feeling defeated by Bails’ latest plan, Charity tells her family that she’s going to drop the case.
Will Ryan tell her that he doesn’t really believe Bails and get her to change her mind (again)?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
