Emmerdale‘s Daz Spencer may have been spared jail for the time being, but that doesn’t mean his factory theft has gone unpunished.
After being hauled away by the police in last night’s trip to the Dales, today (August 21) viewers watched on in frustration as Daz’s woes continued and he was fired from the cafe.
Unsure as to whether she could trust him working behind the tills after being arrested for stealing, Brenda Walker decided to let Daz go – a move that swiftly irked fans.

Emmerdale viewers were quick to call Brenda out for her hypocrisy, pointing out that the cafe owner had been the centre of not one but two theft scandals of her own.
“Hang on… isn’t Brenda not a recovering shoplifting addict!? And recently racked up a load of debt on Laurel’s credit card??” one fan questioned on Twitter.
Others wasted no time at all in calling Brenda out. “Brenda’s a bit of a hypocrite like!” one viewer wrote, while another agreed, “Kettle comes to mind”.
Pot, kettle indeed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
