FANS were heartbroken when they learned Faith Dingle's cancer had returned.
Coming up in Emmerdale, the character portrayed by Sally Dexter keeps her condition under wraps – but a friend catches on.
With only a little time left for her to live, Faith is doing all she can to mend her relationship with her son Cain (played by Jeff Hordley).
Sadly for her, the village tough man is more reluctant than anything when it comes to their bond.
But while she tries to fix things with him, Faith also has her health issues playing on her mind as she battles breast cancer once again with only her daughter-in-law Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) at her side.
This is due to the fact Faith is keeping her struggle a secret, although this is likely to change in upcoming scenes of the Yorkshire-based program.

Embarrassed to have been caught out on a lie, Faith is then reassured by Wendy who explains that she finds herself doing the same with her late son (and Victoria Sugden's rapist) Lee.
Although Wendy appears to be someone Faith could trust, her lies and cover-ups slowly come to light.
When Chas (Lucy Pargeter) gets suspicious Moira has rekindled her affair with Cain's son Nate Robinson, she's determined to catch them in the act, believing her mother Faith to be helping them.
In later scenes, Chas discovers Moira dressed in her robe and bursts into the bedroom, expecting to find Nate.
However, the Woolpack manager is stunned when she finds Faith.
Determined to keep her illness hidden from her children, Faith stuns both Moira and Chas when she flounders and explains Moira's state of undress.
Faith sees how much her lies have escalated and, awkward, continues to hide her symptoms from her family.
This isn't without consequence as Faith also deals with the emotional weight of her diagnosis alone.
As mentioned above, Faith is only relying on Moira, the only villager aware that her cancer has made a comeback.
Meanwhile, Chas bas remained wary of the pair, believing them to be thick as thieves in trying to win favour with her brother Cain.
Will Faith eventually come clean to her children?
Can Moira push her to be honest about her condition before it's too late?
