As the week kicks off Cain – played by Jeff Hordley – panics when Debbie begins to talk about looking for Joe and he tries to discourage her, masking his guilt at the same time.
Debbie – Charley Webb – is left bewildered when Cain tells her that when her daughter Sarah has recovered from her heart transplant he’s going to send them both away on the run.
Sensing something is wrong, Moira tells Cain that if he can’t tell Debbie the truth he’s the one that needs to leave instead of sending her away.
Angry, Moira – Natalie J Robb – presses Cain for further information about Joe but she gets more than she bargained for when Cain blurts out that he killed him.
She’s stunned but as Cain explains what happened, she tries to reassure him and realises just how broken he is by the whole situation.
Moira then confronts Graham Foster – who was there when Cain punched Joe – and asks him if they can trust him not to reveal the truth to Debbie about what happened.
So many secrets and lies!
Fans of the ITV soap know that it was actually Graham and not Cain who finished of the fake millionaire after Joe’s fingers twitched when Graham packed his body into the boot of his car.
But Graham hasn’t gotten around to telling Cain that, leaving the mechanic to believe he killed his daughter’s fiancé.
