Emmerdale reveals Lachlan White’s next killer target as Rebecca’s message looks set to be spotted

Emmerdale‘s Priya Sharma is in serious danger of becoming Lachlan White’s next victim as the serial killer’s dark storyline takes another twist.

Lachlan considers drastic measures to cover his tracks (again!) when Priya starts taking an interest in the shack where he held Rebecca captive.

The twisted teen is left in a panic when Priya (Fiona Wade) mentions that she’s hired a dog patrol for the glamping site.

Worried that this could lead to the truth about Rebecca being discovered, Lachlan heads back to the shack in order to deal with any leftover evidence.

When Lachlan pays his visit, he finally spots the message that Rebecca wrote about him when she was held prisoner: “Lachlan is a killer”.

Lachlan immediately tries to erase the incriminating message, but he’s interrupted when Priya suddenly appears.

Will Priya see the writing on the wall when she snoops around, and if so, will Lachlan have to take steps to silence her too?

Either way, the week concludes with Lachlan dousing the cabin in petrol to destroy all of the evidence from his latest crimes.

Fires in Soapland rarely end well, so will this only raise the stakes further?

Thomas Atkinson, who plays Lachlan, revealed: “Lachlan is worried about the message from Rebecca. It’d be a terrible thing for people to find out, so he’s got to think about how he can get rid of that without anybody seeing what he’s doing.

“Priya does see Lachlan at the cabin and he says that he’s out for a run. She doesn’t really believe him. She’s definitely in danger – anyone who is messing with Lachlan’s safety and his relationship with Belle, is potentially not going to have a great ending.”

Asked whether there’s danger involved with the fire, Thomas replied: “Yeah, definitely. It’s a fire!

“The clock is definitely ticking on Lachlan’s crimes. He’s losing control at this point completely. He’s clutching at straws and doesn’t know what he’s going to do next. Throughout his story, he’s had loose control on everything. But at this point, it’s unravelling.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
