Shows across the country have had to stop filming thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. This has hugely affected ITV soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street as well as BBC One’s EastEnders which all shown several episodes every week. Emmerdale has been revealed as the first soap to return to filming, after getting back to work yesterday (Wednesday, May 20). The cast and crew will be working on six brand new episodes of Emmerdale with just two characters starring in each.
