Emmerdale’s Maya Stepney’s (Louisa Clein) abuse of teenager Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren-Plant) was finally revealed last week as Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) spotted them kissing outside of a club.
The Emmerdale cast member was confronted by Priya, Leyla Harding and Tracy Metcalfe after the night out, and she hasn’t been seen since.
While viewers have to wait and see what happened to Maya, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) is set to finally confess whether she killed Maya to Jacob.
As Leyla makes her shock confession, the soap will do a flashback so viewers can see whether Maya was left for dead by the women or whether she has just left the Dales.
Will Jacob be able to forgive his mum as he finds out the truth about his girlfriend?
Fans will be able to watch Maya be put under pressure by the three women about her abuse, but she manages to escape the confrontation.
However, the women go after her and things soon take a terrifying turn for Maya.
Viewers have been divided about their thoughts on what happened to Maya, as the three women have been acting very suspiciously, even burning a scarf with blood on it.
However, others think Maya needs to face justice for her abuse of her student, and is set to “return from the dead” for a second showdown with the two women.
Another fan theory is that Maya revealed to Leyla that she is pregnant, forcing Leyla to spare their life as she prepared to kill her in a fit of rage.
One fan posted: “Either Leyla went back and finished Maya off after the others went home OR Maya told her she was pregnant and that’s why Leyla is so determined they don’t tell David or Jacob anything.”
