Emmerdale: Debbie Dingle is revealed as Al's mystery woman
Al Chapman (played by Matthew Wildman) has been texting a mystery woman for week on Emmerdale and in the festive instalment, his secret girlfriend was revealed to be Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb). Fans of the long-running ITV soap have been busy guessing who the mystery woman could be and many were disappointed to learn it was the mechanic.
As Debbie and Al met up at a fancy hotel, it was revealed the pair met when Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) had begged her daughter to help the businessman when his car broke down near Aberdeen.
Charity needed Al to help her sort out her adoption of Vanessa Woodfield’s (Michelle Hardwick) son Johnny but his car had broken down.
Debbie turned up to help the businessman and he was reportedly bawled over when he set eyes on the mechanic.
Ever since, the pair have been enjoying a steamy affair without their families knowing.

However, Debbie isn’t even aware Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) is in a relationship with Al and he’s playing both women.
The mechanic assured Al they would make their romance official soon and tell everyone they were dating but he didn’t seem so keen.
He looked particularly worried when she mentioned Al’s decision to move to Scotland.
What has Al got planned for Debbie and Priya, and which one does he really love?
Fans who have been waiting weeks to find out who Al’s mystery woman is were left furious with the big reveal.
Taking to Twitter to complain, one viewer posted: “HAHA I KNEW IT!! I have been saying that for months!! #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “So f*cking predictable! I can’t stand Debbie Dingle and once again her story is having an affair with a man!
“Can’t they think of anything else for her! I would suggest someone pushing her off a cliff and to be never seen again #emmerdale.”

“Although, even before the trailer we all knew it was Debbie. We will go along with it though #emmerdale,” a third continued.
Someone else tweeted: “So shock horror its Debbie. The desperation of this writing is embarrassing. #Emmerdale.”
However there were some viewers who were happy to see Debbie back on their screens.
“Debbie Dingle! I’d of never had thought the mystery woman would be her! #Emmerdale,” one fan posted.
Emmerdale recently confirmed Debbie would be returning to the fictional village in a teaser for the festive season.
She could be seen shouting at her mum Charity: “She is my little girl, my responsibility,” hinting there will be trouble with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).
Will the drama with Charity, Sarah and Al push Debbie to move back to the village permanently?
