Emmerdale fans baffled by medical blunder as Nate walks on ‘healed’ broken foot

Emmerdale fans were taken-aback when Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) suddenly returned to the village during Wednesday night's episode of the ITV soap, as he seemed fully healed.

It wasn’t long ago that the character broke his foot, and after hobbling around the house in extreme pain, things became tense with him and new mum Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).

Realising he needed to go and get physiotherapy after the pair nearly reached breaking point, Nate left and Tracy was alone with the baby again.

But no one was expecting Nate to suddenly bound back home a completely healed man.

“Look, no limp!” he cried, as Tracy grinned in surprise.

And Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) later questioned him in the Woolpack.

“You back then, how’s your foot?” he probed, as Nate said he was still having physio but insisted his injury was on the mend.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their confusion over how quickly it seemed the character had gotten back to normal.

“How the hell does a broken foot heal that fast?” one person commented.

Another asked: “Didn’t Nate break his leg like last week?! How is he walking on it no problem already?”

“'No limp I wanted to surprise you,' you weren't paralysed f***ing d***head,” a third angry viewer posted.

While a fourth guessed the possible plot hole was to create further drama for the character, saying: “Thought Nate was going to get run over as soon as he said I’m fine now!”

“How is Nate’s foot totally fine already?” a fifth added.

Elsewhere in the Dales, it’s been a tough week for Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who was knocked out by Eric and landed in hospital for getting mixed up in Mac’s desperate behaviour.

While Chas and Liv were convinced Aaron had done nothing wrong when the police came sniffing, they knew the character well enough to know he was hiding something.

But now it’s battle of the Dingles against the Pollards, and it seems like no one can really win.

Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
