Emily VanCamp's Love Story with Real Life — and On-Screen! — Husband Josh Bowman

On Saturday, Emily VanCamp married her former costar and on-screen husband Josh Bowman during a romantic ceremony in the Bahamas.

In the first photos from the magical day, which were shared on the bride’s Instagram account on Sunday, the couple radiated joy.

Here’s a look back at their sweet love story.

The couple began dating during the debut season of the ABC drama Revenge.

Throughout the series, which ran for four seasons between 2011-2015, the pair played Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson — who ended up tying the knot!

Although the pair have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight over the years, VanCamp has previously opened up about her “wonderful love.”

“Trust is the most important thing in any relationship because everything falls into place after that,” she said in a 2014 interview with InStyle Australia.

The actress previously reflected on how she and Bowman make their relationship work during an interview with Women’s Health.

“It’s more about accepting each other as separate people,” she said. “Laugh a lot and be really delicate with the other person’s heart, because sometimes you start to take each other for granted. Always remember that neither of you needs to be there. It’s a choice every day to stay together.”

After over six years together, the couple got engaged in May 2017.

VanCamp announced the news with a sweet photo of herself covering her face with her hands, putting her engagement ring on full display.

PEOPLE caught up with The Resident star shortly afterwards and the actress gushed about the exciting news.

“It’s literally only been a couple of days, but it’s amazing,” she said at the time. “I’m really happy!”

The couple took their time with wedding planning.

“We got engaged and then both hit the ground running with work,” the actress told PEOPLE six months after they announced their engagement. “We’re not in a rush and we’re not in the wedding planning zone.”

“I think once we start it’ll go quickly, hopefully, but we’re both very focused on our work, so the little time we have together, we just want to be together,” she added.
