Ed Balls snubs GMB co-star as he fumes ‘get on with it’ while ‘nodding off’

GMB’s Ed Balls tells Richard Arnold to ‘keep it going’

Good Morning Britain host Ed Balls snubbed his co-star as he was seen reading the paper as Richard Arnold shared the latest entertainment news.

As Richard was bringing Ed and Susanna Reid the latest highlights from the Indiana Jones premiere, the 56-year-old decided not to listen.

Interrupting Richard, Susanna quipped: “Can you see that Ed is gripped?”

The camera then showed the presenter looking extremely bored with the segment as he rested his head on his hand.

Richard replied: “I know, look he’s nodding off.”

Ed commented: “Keep it going, can we get to the end of this? Can we get to the entertainment news?”

Offended that Ed asked him to get back to the news, Richard quipped: “Yes, this is entertainment news.”

Comparing Ed to the former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, Richard confessed Piers would act similarly when he spoke about Star Wars.

Defending the segment, Susanna told Ed he was the only person who wasn’t entertained by Indiana Jones.

Earlier on in the show, Ed revealed his dislike of the film series as he told Susanna he found them “dull”.

He said: “I know, I’m sorry! We’re all allowed to have our choices, Elton John? Yes.”

Confessing he also wasn’t a fan of the Star Wars films, the former politician confessed what he likes in a film.

Ed added: “I want love and romance.”

As Susanna called him a softy, the host revealed the best film he’s ever seen was the 2015 movie, Brooklyn.

However, it looks as though viewers weren’t impressed with Ed’s opinion on Indiana Jones and many took to Twitter to defend the action franchise.

@Ubiquitouschap said: “What?? Ed Balls talking B***s as usual, he found indiana jones movies “a bit dull” #gmb I’m not sure he’s ever watched one.”

@Matt_Francis added: “Dull seems a very odd take for widely regarded greatest adventure films ever made that’s for sure.”

@munkeesmurf fumed: “How ironic @edballs saying Indiana Jones is boring! You should listen to yourself each morning messing up your autocue!”

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am
