Tonight’s episode of EastEnders (October 25) may have hinted that Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is set to return to the soap even sooner than expected.
The episode saw Hayley Slater go into labour, only for it to be a false alarm. In all the commotion, Jean panicked and called Alfie to let him know that his baby was about to be born.
Hayley is pregnant with Alfie’s baby after having a one-night stand together in Spain, but Hayley told him that she got an abortion.
However, when the Slaters piled back into the house, Hayley noticed a missed call from Alfie on Jean’s phone, causing her to think that Jean has told Alfie that the baby was never aborted.
With Hayley now fearing that Alfie knows everything, could he be making his return sooner than expected?
The show has already confirmed that Alfie will be making his return to Walford sometime this autumn, as he’ll have an explosive reunion with his estranged wife Kat.
Alfie made a brief return in May when he secretly met up with Kat’s cousin Hayley – who revealed she was carrying his baby.
After a tense showdown with Hayley, Alfie departed London believing that she was going to terminate their child, but is still oblivious to the fact that she changed her mind.
EastEnders continues on Friday (October 26) at 8pm on BBC One.
