EastEnders villain Stuart Highway will reveal who shot him when he wakes from his coma in next week’s dramatic scenes.
Stuart (Ricky Champ) was gunned down by a mystery culprit in The Vic last week, sparking a huge new ‘Whodunnit?’ storyline.
Luckily, fans don’t have much longer to wait to get answers as Stuart will confess everything to his brother Halfway in upcoming scenes, after he wakes up in hospital.
Everyone is relieved when the doctors reveal they are going to try and bring Stuart round, meaning he can finally tell the police what really happened.
As a conflicted Halfway prepares to see his brother, he gets an unpleasant shock when Stuart immediately reveals that it was Mick (Danny Dyer) who shot him.
With Stuart preparing to tell DI Arthurs everything, it’s a race against the clock for Halfway to warn Mick and stall the police.
While Stuart revels in the attention of telling his story, Halfway rushes to The Vic and informs a horrified Mick and Linda about what’s going on.
Halfway’s bombshell leaves the couple questioning if they should do a runner, but Mick eventually accepts that there is there is no way out and is later taken away by the police.
But as Mick is interrogated down at the police station, Halfway comes to a worrying realisation – prompting the Carters to question Stuart’s version of events.
Unable to cope in the wake of Mick’s arrest, it eventually all becomes too much for Linda – who storms to the hospital and accuses Stuart of lying.
But after begging Stuart’s daughter to see what’s really happening here, Linda is given more crushing news when she realises that Zara has collaborated her dad’s story.
As Mick prepares for his bail hearing, Linda desperately tries to help her husband – but is it too late?
