EastEnders star Max Bowden 'expecting first child' with ex-girlfriend

EastEnders star Max Bowden is reportedly set to become a dad as his ex-girlfriend is pregnant.

The actor, who plays Ben Mitchell in the BBC One soap, is said to have ended his relationship with Roisin Buckle earlier this year.

A source, who’s friends with Max and Roisin, told The Sun: ‘Max and Roisin are delighted they’re expecting a baby – even if they are no longer together. They broke up earlier this year. There was no one else involved, it just simply didn’t work out.’

They also told the publication that Max and Roisin have remained good friends and are determined to co-parent their new baby.

The BBC had no comment to make on the matter after being contacted by Metro.co.uk.

Over in EastEnders, Max’s character Ben is currently facing a troublesome time after husband Callum (Tony Clay) was attacked by a group of homophobic men.

Initially, Ben told Callum they should hide their sexuality in public, fearful of another attack but now, he’s taken things a step further.

In an attempt to feel safer, Ben has violently confronted and attacked homophobic men.

He recently put a man in hospital after beating him with a bat down an alleyway in Walford.

He was spotted by Sharon (Letitia Dean), who warned him he could end up in prison – again – if the man doesn’t wake up.

The thought of time behind bars didn’t bother Ben, as he simply told Sharon it’s making him feel better by attacking the people who didn’t make him feel safe.
