Ruby’s in a good mood when Jack Branning gives her the keys to her new flat but her mind is soon on other things as the officer turns up with an update.
Ruby’s horrified when she’s told the police have a photo of her kissing Matt and that it could affect her case.
She’s distraught and, when Martin Fowler – James Bye – arrives to do the check-in, he tries to comfort her and also hide his own guilt as he’s the one that gave the photo to the cops in the first place.
Following his conversation with Ruby, Martin begins to panic and begs Kush Kazemi to say he was responsible for handing the picture over.
A reluctant Kush agrees to cover for Martin. Meanwhile Stacey is stunned when she hears what’s happened from Ruby, especially when her friend reveals she’s dropping the charges against Matt and Ross.
Stacey – Lacey Turner – is fuming and confronts Kush about the photo.
She’s calmed down by Martin who reveals it was actually him who gave the snap to the cops.
Stacey is left feeling crushed.
Later she invites Ruby over and forces Martin to tell her the truth.
How will she react and will she change her mind about dropping the charges?
Ruby – played by Louisa Lytton in the BBC soap, was raped last month after going home with Ross following a night out with Martin and Stacey.
